A feast to the eyes
By Jasmeen Kaur, international student from India studying at Kwantlen Polytechnic University
It has been a year since I came to Canada as an international student from India. It was a turning point in my life. I have always had a great passion for travelling to new places and exploring the beauty of nature. And I believe that my desire brought me here.
The beautiful landscape in British Columbia is always a feast to the eyes. There is peace and love all around. The multiculturalism in British Columbia makes it even more beautiful. I was amazed to see the unity in diversity when people celebrated different festivals with great joy.
I am addicted to the magnificence of parks and beaches, especially in Vancouver. Different seasons add more attractiveness to the places. It is an extremely stunning view when the trees and surroundings are covered with snow. I love the cool and calm weather. The rainfall makes the green surroundings even more clear and lovely. I am already excited about the snow and is waiting for it.
As Christmas is approaching, the lights and decorations enhance the exquisiteness of the houses and streets. Exploring the beauty of Vancouver during the holiday season has been one of the best moments of my life. I believe that British Columbia is heaven on Earth and is worth visiting. I am fortunate enough to have got an opportunity to live in such a wonderful province.
