Competition open for Latin American and Caribbean citizens: Student Exchange Program, 2017-2018

Global Affairs Canada launches its 2017-2018 Student Exchange Program for Latin American and Caribbean citizens wishing to study, conduct research or professional development in Canada.

The 650 short-term exchange scholarships offered promote partnerships, student mobility and research collaborations between Canadian and Latin American and Caribbean post-secondary institutions.

Canadian universities and colleges can now submit scholarship applications on behalf of students, researchers, faculty and international liaison officers/managers from eligible countries by April 25, 2017. For more details about the eligibility criteria, duration, value and inclusions, and to apply, visit each scholarship program’s guidelines page.

The Canadian Bureau for International Education, the scholarship administrator for Global Affairs Canada, will offer a complimentary webinar to Canadian post-secondary institutions on March 21, 2017 to provide detailed information about the four programs, including the application process, selection, key dates, etc.

All inquiries regarding these scholarship programs should be directed to: admin-scholarships-bourses@cbie.ca. Read testimonials from former recipients of the programs.
