BC Study Abroad is excited to announce the launch of its seventh annual BC Study Abroad Photo Contest. We are inviting all students who have previously studied abroad to share their favourite study abroad photo memories for a chance to win a GoPro Hero 8 (sponsored by Study and Go Abroad!).

Each photo submitted will count as an entry. You can enter as many photos as you want to increase your chances of winning. Submit using the online BC Study Abroad Photo Contest form.

Deadline for entry is October 15, 2021. For contest details, visit the contest page.

Want some inspiration? Visit the BCSA Instagram page to see past contest photo submissions.

Good luck!

Submit your complete study permit application for the fall 2021 semester

If IRCC receives your complete study permit application by May 15, 2021, you’ll get a decision by August 6, 2021, in time to attend the fall semester.

IRCC may not be able to process your application by August 6, 2021, if you’re unable to submit a complete application because of COVID-19 restrictions, such as reduced service at

  • visa application centres (VACs)
  • other providers

If you submit a complete application after May 15, 2021, IRCC will process it as quickly as possible—but you may not get a final decision before the fall semester begins.

Launched for the first time in 2012, our annual Study in BC photo contest continues to be a great success and continues to break records on the number of submissions submitted. Thank you to all the BC international students and alumni who sent in their heartwarming photos. We love seeing the way you live, study, and play in BC.

Congratulations to our 2021 winner, Shaula Delgado!

Shaula is an international student currently living in Vancouver. She has a bachelor’s degree in Nursing at the University of St. La Salle, Philippines, and is currently enrolled in business administration at Acsenda School of Management. Shaula was a student athlete during her university years playing football. She was awarded the Corps d’ elite for being the most outstanding student in team sports. Her love of football was influential in finding value in hard work, discipline, determination, and camaraderie.

“I chose BC as a study destination because the education system is ranked among the best in the world. Canada has a diverse culture, and it is also considered a peaceful, safe, and orderly country. It’s an honour for me to live and study in BC. I believe the learnings and experiences I gain here will provide a foundation to carry on my family’s legacy. My dream is to create a name for myself and build my own business to help people reach their goals,” says Shaula.

Congratulations again, Shaula!
